2022 Estate Bottled Red Mountain Heart of the Hill Carmenère - Info Card - All Clubs

There's a waitlist for Carmenère fruit from our Heart of the Hill estate vineyard - winemakers want more than we can produce. Ultimately that's a good problem to have, but it does mean we can't produce it as a varietal wine as often as we'd like.

The grape has in interesting history. Once considered one of the six red grapes of Bordeaux - alongside Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and Petit Verdot - it is now rarely found in France. We owe the grape's renaissance to Chilean growers who imported cuttings from France in the 19th century.

While the French viewed Carmenère primarily as a blending variety, the Chileans recognized it as a compelling varietal wine, and today are responsible for the vast majority of Carmenère planted in the world.

People that love Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, and/or Merlot will find themselves right at home with Red Mountain Carmenère, a delicious and intriguing step off the beaten Bordeaux-varietal path.

2022 Estate Bottled Red Mountain Zinfandel - Info Card - All Clubs

It's big. It's brooding. It's unapologetically hedonistic. And we made it just for you.

That's the skinny on the 2022 Estate Bottled Red Mountain Zinfandel, a wine that's anything but. These vines, now nearly 30 years old, represent one of the only Zinfandel plantings in the area - it's not common on Red Mountain, in the Columbia Valley, or in the Pacific Northwest, for that matter.

This block requires a lot of attention from a farming perspective. Zinfandel typically grows in warmer, less variable climate than ours - think central California or southern Italy. Here in Washington, we like to tout our wide "diurnal shift" which is the difference between the high/low temperature in a 24-hour period. This large diurnal shift is great for grapes like Cabernet, Merlot, Riesling, Chenin Blanc, Lemberger, and others. Zinfandel? It likes a narrower band of temperatures.

So we nurture it. We baby it. We check in on it. And we dial in precision farming practices with this single acre more than we do any of our 270+ other estate acres. All so we can make this wine for you. Enjoy.

2024 Pinot Noir + Lemberger Blend - Info Card - All Clubs

We love Washington and we love Red Mountain. We've built our entire narrative and invested five-decades of sweat equity into this region. But that doesn't mean that we can't be enamored with what other grape growing areas are doing.

To put it bluntly, Oregon's Willamette Valley is growing some of the most delicious Pinot Noir in the world right now. We can't grow Pinot here on Red Mountain, so there's definitely a longing there. So what's to stop a Red Mountain estate winery from buying top-shelf Pinot Noir from the Van Duzer Corridor and Eola-Amity Hills AVAs? Turns out, absolutely nothing!

30% of the blend is our own Lemberger, a grape that's actually grown alongside Pinot Noir in Germany and Eastern Europe. The resulting wine is delicious and unlike anything else in our lineup.

2022 Estate Bottled Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon - Info Card - All Clubs

In stark juxtaposition to the aforementioned 2024 Pinot Noir + Lemberger, our 2022 Estate Bottled Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon stands as a shining example of our estate vineyards and the Red Mountain area. Simply put, this is what we do.

Nearly 60% of our estate acreage is planted to Cabernet Sauvignon - we've staked the family business on this grape. The 2022 Estate Bottled version includes components from all five of our vineyards, making it uniquely representative of the region - you get a bird's-eye view of the hill with every pour.

This is by far our most important single product at Kiona - it's the wine that keeps us in business. Steakhouses, independent restaurants, and fine bottle shops around the country offer this wine as an exciting, modern, and polished New-World Cabernet.

2025 Estate Bottled Red Mountain Sauvignon Blanc - Info Card - Mixed & Reds Only

"Washington Sauvignon Blanc is so hot right now" <---- distributors across the country, for the last 5 years.

Cooler than California, but warmer than Bordeaux and New Zealand, Washington might be the perfect Goldilocks growing region for Sauvignon Blanc. The wine-drinking world has taken notice as well - it's one of the consistent growth categories for Washington wine over the last several vintages.

Our version hails exclusively from our estate Artz Vineyard, a site with Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon planted together in one continuous block - as the saying goes, if it grows together, it goes together. On the winemaking front, we lean into the idea of layering, texture, and ripeness, but still buoyed by vibrant acidity. Tyler and the winemaking team use a combination of clay amphora and barrel ferments to luxe the wine up while preserving the purity of fruit Artz is known for.
