Our Mythology Series wines seek to emulate styles that we admire from around the world, seen through a Red Mountain lens. Cyclops is our ode to the wines of Southern France, where the wines offer incredible layering, complexity, and appeal. Washington State has seen a notable uptick in Mourvèdre and Grenache plantings recently, as they complement our already robust Syrah acreage in a very compelling way.

This sixth version of Cyclops showcases estate grown Syrah from our Sunset Bench and Ranch at the End of the Road vineyard, as has become tradition. New to the cuvée this time is Counoise, a low-yield, high-acid grape with lighter body and medium-length finish. Along with the Mourvèdre and Grenache components, the Counoise adds aromatic lift, freshness, and layering to the wine. The alluring final result is both elegant and powerful, a rare and desirable outcome in the world of wine.
