Sit Down and Drink Wine With Me

A New Way To Learn About Red Mountain

We're doing something new!

One of the best parts of my job is talking wine with fellow wine enthusiasts. We're formalizing that opportunity.

Our banquet room is well-suited to a classroom-style, educational tasting. So that's what we're doing. The first iteration will focus on less-common Red Mountain cultivars. The plan is to make these a regular occurrence; each will have a different aim/bent/itinerary.

Buy tickets here! This inaugural tasting will be on October 25th at 2:30 pm.

And if you're in the wine club, send us an email (info@kionawine.com) to reserve your spot. Two people per membership can attend without needing to buy tickets.

Here's a full excerpt from the EventBrite event description:

Everyone knows that Cabernet is King on Red Mountain. What about the other cultivars that excel here?

Enjoy a private, closed-door, sit-down tasting of some of Red Mountain's less common grape varieties.

The classroom setting is conversational; visitors are encouraged to participate in the discussion and ask questions as they arise.

The lineup will include:

Estate Red Mountain Zeus II (White Wine Blend)
2018 Estate Red Mountain Rosé of Mourvèdre
2016 Estate Red Mountain Sangiovese
Estate Red Mountain Big Kiona (Zinfandel and Petite Sirah Blend)
2018 Estate Red Mountain Chenin Blanc Ice Wine

We will also pour a barrel sample of the not-yet-released 2018 Estate Red Mountain Lemberger, perhaps the most famous of the not-so-famous Red Mountain varieties.

Limited to 26 guests. Bookings are non-refundable. Please show up by 2:25 as we will start promptly at 2:30 pm.

Guests that purchase at least $100 worth of wine will have their ticket fee deducted from their total (one $20 ticket deducted per $100 spent).

Wine Club Members do not need to purchase tickets; two people per membership may attend. Please contact us (info@kionawine.com) to make your reservation.
